Sharh Thalathat al-Usool — شرح ثلاثة الأصول وأدلتها — Shaykh Salih ibn Fawzan al-Fawzan
The explanation by Shaykh Salih ibn Fawzan al-Fawzan of the treatise Thalathat al-Usool wa Adillatuha (The Three Fundamental Principles and Their Evidences) by Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab (d. 1206 AH). The Three Principles is one of the most essential and widely taught texts in the study of Islamic creed, addressing the three questions every person will be asked in the grave: Who is your Lord? What is your religion? Who is your Prophet?
Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab authored this treatise to convey what is obligatory upon every Muslim to know — beginning with the four matters a Muslim must learn (knowledge, acting upon it, calling to it, and patience upon its hardships), then proceeding to the three principles with their proofs from the Quran and Sunnah. The text covers knowledge of Allah through His signs and blessings, knowledge of the religion of Islam and its three levels (Islam, Iman, and Ihsan), and knowledge of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his mission.
Shaykh al-Fawzan's sharh is known for its thoroughness and clarity, making the text accessible to beginners while providing depth that benefits the more advanced student. He explains each statement of the matn, clarifies the evidences, and highlights the points of Tawhid and Aqeedah embedded throughout.
Arabic, hardcover. An indispensable text for anyone beginning their journey in studying the fundamentals of Islamic belief.
