Raising Children in Islam
By Shaykh al-Badr
"O you who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire..." (Qur'an 66:6). With this verse as its foundation, Shaykh al-Badr addresses one of the greatest yet most often neglected responsibilities placed upon every Muslim parent: protecting and properly raising their children in accordance with the religion of Allah.
The Shaykh emphasizes that children are an amanah (a trust) given to parents, and that the father in particular bears a severe responsibility before Allah for how his children are disciplined, educated, and morally shaped. Drawing on hadith and the example of the Salaf, the book covers practical guidance on instilling Islamic values from an early age, the dangers of neglecting this duty, and the lasting consequences — for both parent and child — of failing to fulfill it.
This is essential reading for every Muslim parent, offering a clear, evidence-based reminder of what is owed to children in this life so that both they and their parents may be saved from the Fire in the next.
