This book contains both the original treatise Aqeedat Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah and its explanation, both authored by Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen. The original risalah was written by Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen as a comprehensive yet concise statement of the beliefs of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah. Shaykh Abd al-Aziz ibn Baz reviewed the treatise and praised it, noting that it covers what every student of knowledge and every Muslim needs regarding the fundamentals of belief.

The treatise is structured around the six pillars of Iman — belief in Allah (including His Tawhid, Names, and Attributes), the Angels, the Books, the Messengers, the Last Day, and al-Qadr (Divine Decree).
