In this treatise, Shaykh 'Abdur Razzaq al-Badr explains this hadith and its lessons for Muslims living in times of widespread confusion and tribulation.

The Shaykh describes the nature of fitan — trials of doubts and desires, and trials that divide the Muslims — and lays out the means of protection from them: holding to the Qur'an and Sunnah, returning to the people of knowledge, restraining the tongue, avoiding involvement in turmoil, patience, and sincere supplication.
